Strategic marketing, branding, and production professional.

Nice to meet you!

Passionate. Results-Driven.
Tech-junkie.
BUSCHHH. OPTIMISTIC.

What do these six things have in common? Nothing. But it begins to tell you the story about me.

Who am I?

My roots sprouted from the muddy waters of the Mississippi River in southeast Iowa. A midwesterner raised in a very large family. Gatherings always had at least a few third or fourth cousins. An all-hands on deck village mentality of rolling up your sleeves, contributing, and encouraging one another along the way.

My parent’s worked as a small party good store business owner and a 14th birthday gift to their kids was a car ride to pick up job applications. My first jobs were stocking shelves at the local grocery store and processing recycled beer cans and bottles at the local Budweiser distributorship warehouse. After a few months of janitorial duties, I found myself managing and designing for the print shop, supporting over 900 accounts with the best Anheuser Busch branded sales collateral. From this experience around the brand families of Budweiser, Busch Light, Michelob Ultra, Land Shark, and Monster Energy Drinks my passion for creative branding and customer experience was planted.

This drove my academic interest into the business and marketing sphere where I enrolled in the University of Iowa’s esteemed business program.

After graduation I went straight for Chicago where I worked in advertising, production, and events with Schafer Condon Carter, video production with the Food Channel and Travel Network. I’ve been fortunate to work with amazing brands and events such as the US. Cellular College Sports Sponsorship tour, U.S. Army All American Bowl, NBA Pre-Season brand experiences, the IDEAL National Championship, the Chicago Cubs, WGN Radio 720, Friendly’s, and other. My time with these brands and marketing teams has granted me skills in project management, event production, campaign strategy, public relations, graphic design, social media, and sales. I live in Chicago. My fiancé and I enjoy the urban garden on our patio. In my free time, you’ll find me in the outdoors camping, taking 40 mile hiking trips in the Rocky Mountains, or on the Mississippi River hunting and fishing.

Things that fill up my tank:

What do I do?

Trained in traditional, social, and digital marketing, project management, graphic design, video production and self-taught in video editing. I currently support the sales and marketing strategy and execution of over 25 hospitality establishments (golf courses, restaurants, and private country clubs) in 7 states across the U.S.

Even when I’m deep into various campaign analytics or product development projects, I enjoy learning and collaborating with my teammates in different regions. I have a deep appreciation for the freedoms we have in America and our opportunity to choose how we can travel and experience different cultures and enjoy creative food and delicious drinks at hospitality venues across the country.

What can others expect if they work with me?

Positive attitude. Friendly and encouraging energy. Big supporter of group success. My work energy strives to contribute to an environment where everyone feels as if their time is valued, and after a job well done can say they are proud of both individual and team efforts. When working with me, you can expect that I’ll embody ideal collaboration and thoughtful partnership. When it comes to thinking large, I practice the “yes and” mindset. Individual and group success is unique in every team and with that, I deploy a willingness to be open and adapt. I strive to develop relationships with those around me where when working with me, that person feels as if their time is valued and well spent. After all, we do spend a majority of our lives working, so let’s make it enjoyable for those around us!

My pin-up board of inspiring quotes:

“Ideas are cheap. Ideas are easy. Ideas are common. Everybody has ideas. Ideas are highly, highly overvalued. Execution is all that matters.” - Casey Neistat

“One small positive thought can change your whole day.” - Unknown

“Don’t wait for the stars to be aligned. Reach up and rearrange them in the way you want. Create your own constellation.” - Pharrell

“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” - Helen Keller

”It’s not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.” - Henry David Thoreau

Always the stairs, never the escalator.
